IRS Admits Targeting Tea Party and Patriot Groups but Claims it Wasn't Politically Motivated in a City Where a Poll Worker Voted 6 Times for Obama?

Today Lois Lerner, head of the IRS division that oversees tax-exempt groups, admitted to and apologized for specific targeting of organizations for additional review of their tax-exempt status if their names featured the words "tea party" or "patriot". According to Lerner this was not politically motivated but rather a decision by career bureaucrats to "streamline" the review process. Apparently these employees went so far as to request specific lists of donors in direct violation of IRS policy.

So how exactly do you stand in front of people with a straight face and claim that specifically targeting conservative groups isn't politically motivated? What motivated it then? I'm sure someone had to specifically come up with those search parameters. How exactly do you come up with those search parameters by any other means than political motivation? Strangely this is also in an area where Obama won an incredible majority of the votes and last check had multiple investigations of voter fraud where one female poll worker is accused of voting 6 times for Obama! If they had used the search NAACP, Progressive, ACLU, PETA, or Sierra Club the liberal crowd would be up in arms and President Obama would be doing his own press conference claiming that heads would roll at the IRS! But I guarantee you we won't be hearing anyone at the White House making a stink about this unless its Jay Carney claiming it is old news and no big deal. Just like Benghazi!

Congress needs to investigate this and the American people need to know that the people who violated IRS policy have been fired and we need to know how far up the chain this really goes. If this happened in the real world and not in government people would lose their jobs and this should be no exception!
